God bless you and we welcome you to Voices of Faith East. We are a congregation of believers who are truly blessed each time that the Holy Spirit prompts individuals and families to unite in fellowship with us.
As Senior Pastor, I extend my hand and heart in fellowship to you and offer my service to you. I pray that you will take advantage of the opportunities for worship, growth, and service that are available to you here at VOF East.

Pastor Marshall's Journey
Pastor Marshall's journey to become a pastor began in 2001 when he became a deacon. God told him, "Serve me as a deacon, Carlos, but that is not all." In 2006, God led Pastor Marshall to Voices of Faith Ministries in Stone Mountain where he served dutifully as a deacon.
He began teaching Sunday school and then 3 years later was elevated to an elder. In this capacity, Pastor Marshall led the intercessory prayer team and hosted baptism services while continuing to teach Sunday school. Once again God expressed his will and said, "Serve me as an elder, Carlos, but that is not all."
So, on August 5, 2012, he preached his first sermon as the pastor of Voices of Faith East. Pastor Marshall attained a bachelor's degree in Organization Communications and is currently bi-vocational. In addition to pastoring, he works for the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia as an Operations Manager.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our Beliefs & Doctrine
Our faith is built on the foundation of Scripture and the eternal truths of God's Word.
God The Father
We believe that God the Father is the eternal, unchanging all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfectly holy, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe. He is the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Father of all true believers.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-existent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the chief agent in the regeneration, the chief convictor of sin, and the chief comforter of the believer. Simultaneously with salvation, the Holy Spirit imparts new life, baptizes the believer into the body of Christ (His church), permanently indwells the believer, and securely seals the believer unto the day of redemption.
Personal Faith
I believe God is merciful, full of grace, just and loving. He has called me to be His. I believe that God loves me and has personal knowledge of me. He has a personal will for me. My personal faith helps me carry out God's will for my life.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten eternal Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
The Trinity
We believe there is only one true and living God, creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinct from the other. Each Person, all of one essence and all having the same nature, perfections, and attributes, and is totally worthy of our worship and service.

OUR STORY
Church History
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you always, even unto the end of the world."

God is infinite in all of His wisdom and ways. He spoke a Word into the life of a young man many years ago, to follow the Great Commission. His destiny would be forever changed.
At a very young age, Pastor Carlos Marshall knew that his mission in life was different than most young people of the same age. Throughout the years, he was being groomed in ministry to become the man of God that would one-day lead God's people, by encouraging them to live righteous – holy and acceptable only unto God; and to preach the gospel.
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way."— Psalm 37:23
Thanks be to God for giving Bishop Gary Hawkins, our Senior Overseer, the vision and mission for Voices of Faith Ministries. Along the way, Bishop observed the calling on Pastor Marshall's life and decided to send him out to establish Voices of Faith East.
2012 The Beginning
August 5, 2012 - First service held at Holiday Inn, Gwinnett Center. Pastor Carlos Marshall preached his first sermon as pastor of Voices of Faith East.
2012 Growing in Faith
October 7, 2012 - Moved to Burnett Elementary in Suwanee. Bible Study began on Thursday nights at Peachtree Ridge High School.
2016 A New Home
March 27, 2016 (Resurrection Sunday) - First service at our current location after three years at Burnett Elementary.
2017 - Present Continued Growth
Graduated many disciples in Discipleship Class. MIT graduates elevated to Ministers and Elders. Hosted our first Pre-Mother's Day Fun Brunch.
All spiritual gifts come from God and much praise and honor belong to Him for sending saints to Voices East who are equipped with gifts and talents and a willingness to be used by God to edify the kingdom.
Our Elders, Deacons, Ministers, Corporate Prayer team, Music Ministry and entire church body are led by great men and women of God who are on fire for Jesus.
